Godin Richmond Belmont - Mint Condition with Seymour Duncan pickups - £450 ono in Dorking, Surrey for sale

For sale here is a totally stock 2009 Godin Richmond series Belmont, all mahogany 3 pickup guitar in as new condition in original hard case What is it? For those who don’t know, Godin produce high quality, hand assembled electric guitars in Richmond, Quebec.. hence the name. The Belmont is Godin’s take on the SG, but with significantly better build quality, tonewoods and neck dress than most of the guitars coming out of Nashville. This particular example was bought by me from Rose Morris in Denmark street after a tussle over it with Richie Sambora (..long story, but I won!) Here is what Richmond say about it The Belmont packs a full gamut of classic rock muscle into its incredibly resonant solid mahogany body. This 24 ¾” scale axe is powered by two single coil Lipstick pickups by Seymour Duncan, along with the vintage bite of a Seymour Duncan ’59 humbucker in the bridge. All of which is controlled by a 5-way selector switch and separate volume and tone knobs. The Belmont’s bolt-on mahogany neck features the worn in feel of an Ergocut rosewood fingerboard for an incredibly comfortable playing experience. The Belmont is finished off with high-ratio tuning machines, a chrome roller bridge with fixed tailpiece, a Nordic white pickguard and truss rod cover. What does it sound and play like? This guitar can go anywhere from woody, earthier strat type tones through to SG vintage overdrive, depending on pickup selection, volume / tone settings and pick attack. The neck is stunning (as seems to be the case with most Godin’s) with a medium chunky feel in the hand, combined with a really slick playing surface, beautifully dressed frets and unhindered access to the upper frets. This guitar shows that a bolt-on neck is no hindrance to sustain or body resonance and has a nice setup with medium action and great intonation. What condition is it in? Put simply, it’s in as new condition and it’s totally stock and as it came from the factory The body is unmarked – absolutely no scratches, dings, dent etc All electrics are full functional, with no grounding issues / scratchy pots etc The case is in excellent condition and even still has the plastic coverings on the metalwork with which it came from the factory (see pic) Why am I selling it?
